Up until a few years ago, eco friendly clothing was terrible. I love clothes and fashion and though I wanted to like the clothes that were available, I really couldn’t. They featured dowdy colors, scratchy textures, and certainly were not very fashion forward.
If you look around online, some of the most popular environmental related blogs are very scientific, like treehugger dot com. They touch on a lot of highly scientific topics pertaining to this topic and I think that it’s great that there are resources out there where you can go and learn about the science behind why protecting the world that we live in is a good thing.

I thought I’d kick things off when some advice on how to get started by offering you some simple going green tips. These are things you can do right away and they are not that hard to implement. I try to do these things too but I am the first to admit that I am not perfect. I think the key is to try!
I live in a country where almost every village has at least one home with solar panels on the roof. I dutifully pull the proper trash bins to the curb which, to my great joy, includes even a bin for compost. And, pretty much everyone brings their own bags (usually cloth or a basket or two) to the store.
